문장의 유형(sentence types)은 4가지가 있는데요...
simple(단문), compound(중문), complex(복문), 그리고 compound-complex(혼문)입니다.
4 types를 간단히 설명하자면,
simple - 1 independent(= subordinate) clause
compound - 2 (or more) independent clauses
complex - 1 independent clause + 1 (or more) denpendent clause(s)
compound-complex - 2 (or more) independent clauses + 1 (or more) denpendent clause(s)
