by와 until의 차이는

by는 정해진 시간까지의 유한한 행동(finite action)을 나타내고,

until은 정해진 시간까지의 지속적인 행동이나 상태(continued action or state)를 나타냅니다.

by the time이나 no later than도 by와 마찬가지 개념으로 이해하면 돼요.
